So derailed, in fact, that this session had to be split into 2 parts. Episode 4: Overwatch’s Underbelly delves into design (from the perspective of a designer) and finds some common ground between board games and video games. Episode 5: The Pamir Knot focuses on history and culture.

This episode touched on the interplay of mechanics and theme, and how the two inform each other, or one the other. As something I think upon from time to time, I would be interested in exploring it in future episodes. Perhaps it would not amount to more than speculation, but I would tune in regardless.
